I assume that prostitute frequenters must also use cash.

My wife tries to have a $100 bill in her purse in case of emergencies, and I started doing the same thing, where I'd have a hundred bucks or so on me just in case. It's very unusual that I need it, but occasionally I'll go to a restaurant or something and their POS system is down so they can only take cash. Or you can just pay for a cab quickly and get out. Or, of course, you can pay the prostitutes.

Many parts of the world still have plenty of cash-only stores and restaurants. Argentina now has a lot more places that take cards, credit or debit, but many restaurants are still cash-only. Japan is famous because plenty of places only take cash, which is weird because isn't it like the most tech-savvy country in the world?

Maybe they reverted back to cash because they kept trying to swipe each other's eyes with those cards all the time
